As the founder of My Career Switch Joe passionately believes in the transformative benefits of the Career change services and workplace training to make a positive impact on the professional and personal lives of all those who participate in our programs and courses.

He has extensive experience creating and delivering workshops, coaching and running businesses. He has taught, coached and delivered training programs in both the private and public sector for over 23 years. As a experienced teacher he has a firm educational background, which enables him to inspire individuals to discover how to achieve more purpose and fulfilment in their professional lives.

His multi-discipline industry and education experience and leadership roles have enabled him to develop a wealth of hands-on commercial expertise. He specialises in providing professional career development services for managers, executives and business owners, encouraging individuals to engage in reflective and productive conversations.

This approach leads to powerful insights and clarifies the type of improvements needed to create a positive and sustained change.

Ed started life as an engineer and then became a teacher for 8 years before embarking on his own career change. In making the leap, Ed has combined his understanding of mindfulness, neuroscience and positive psychology to create practical sessions, which shed light on the science of happiness and motivation. At the core of his career change workshops is the belief that we can all design our work-life around our needs to achieve a balance between challenge and fulfilment. Naturally a warm and charismatic workshop leader, he firmly believes in building a supportive and interactive learning space, where individuals feel empowered to identify their strengths to influence their career decisions.

Ed is also a trained mindfulness practitioner and provides courses and consultancy to organizations such as Positive Group, Creative Retreats UK and Action for Autism. This experience has complimented Ed’s ability to support people through their career changes, while challenging them to redefine the relationship they have with work.

Amanda has over 15 years experience of working within HR and Management Development, coaching both teams and individuals to reach their potential.

Having built a successful career developing managers, teams and individuals within the Water and Energy sector Amanda made the transition to setting up her own business and developing a Coaching Practice over five years ago. 

Passionate about working on a one on one basis with individuals, Amanda is able to apply her knowledge and experience of the corporate world in a realistic and practical way when working with clients to develop their careers.  

An experienced and qualified Coach, Amanda now works across a number of sectors including Banks, Building Societies, Local Council, Police and Charities helping individuals reach their potential. 

Amanda works with individuals wishing to bring about changes in their careers, including returning to work, individuals starting a business and clients wishing to develop their career within their current work place.

She has a warm and intuitive approach, using powerful questions to help clients explore their own goals and motivation, with a focus on practical steps that will enable the individual to move forward in a positive way.

Samantha’s leadership and managerial experience has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to provide expert guidance to executives and senior board members.

She has worked with directors of multi-million pound companies, solo business owners looking for their new idea, and many individuals at big change points in their professional lives.

Specialising in people engagement, culture change, and strategies that work in practice – Samantha has experience with large and small organisations, entrepreneurial founders, and the charity sector both in the UK and abroad. Samantha works with solo-business owners, entrepreneurs, and executives to help them to really understand and tackle their barriers to business growth.

All her work is bespoke and tailored to the individual. Combining strategic sense with practical application, Samantha works with people to clarify what is driving their ambition for change, to understand and articulate the impact they want to have in the world around them, and to develop different approaches to get them where they want to be.

Matthew MSc, BA (Hons) is a life and business coach, positive psychologist and mindfulness teacher.

He has a Masters degree (MSc) in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology. When coaching, he considers his talent to be an enabler. He does this by becoming a thinking partner for others and helping them to clearly identify their goals and aspirations before supporting them to move forward and overcome barriers. This can be particularly beneficial for people looking for a career change or looking to increase motivation, performance, confidence or resilience in an existing role. An area of particular interest and experience is in helping others to increase levels of meaning and purpose in life.

Matthew has been working in career consultancy, recruitment and coaching since 2006. Until 2015, he was Regional Director responsible for recruitment, training and coaching teams in Cape Town. He has helped many people succeed in developing their careers as well as many well-known global businesses build and retain their talented teams. His previous clients included Amazon, Barclays, Whittards, McCann Erickson. He recently provided consultancy for one of the largest media companies in the world on how to conduct successful interviews.

Sandra’s passion is to enable mid-career professionals who feel stuck and dissatisfied to find fulfillment and meaning. She is a natural people person, gifted at quickly putting clients at ease with her friendly and transparent approach. Her career started in recruitment before expanding into customer services and sales within the telecoms sector. 

For the last 17 years Sandra has enjoyed working with mid-career professionals who are looking to redefine what success means to them.  She enables them to work towards a more balanced and rounded approach to their working life. Sandra’s own lifestyle reflects that there is another way to combine work with the rest of life, if you are open to possibility and change. 

Sandra’s coaching style is creative and intuitive. She achieves great results with an easy, light touch approach, she guides clients to find their own way and develop their own understanding of how to achieve the change they are seeking. Sandra’s clients enjoy a journey of improved understanding of themselves and what they want.

Tanya has a BSc Psychology, MA Human Resource Management and is a fully qualified Chartered Member of the CIPD (MCIPD). She has over 15 year’s HR and Recruitment experience and a wealth of experience within career development specialising within professional services. 

Throughout her career Tanya has interviewed thousands of individuals and has a strong understanding of the hiring process and how to be successful in job applications and at interviews. Operating at a senior level she also has an array of leadership development and talent management experience. 

Tanya’s interest in Career Coaching arose during a period of change in her own career. She is well suited to Career Coaching as it combines her Psychology degree, HR and Recruitment expertise as well as her passion for helping others.

Tanya’s has coached clients from a variety of backgrounds including property, law, engineering, medicine, research and the public sector. Using a variety of coaching techniques all of her sessions are tailor-made to each individual’s needs. Her focus is on transformation and change and her sessions are collaborative and solution-focused. Tanya loves coaching as she thoroughly enjoys watching her clients achieve their goals and finding happiness in their professional and personal lives.

Sue has a person centred approach to coaching, drawing on a variety of models and is able to adapt her coaching style to the needs and personality of her clients. She believes that the relationship between coach and client is fundamental to a successful outcome. She provides a trusting and safe environment where clients can grow in confidence and take positive action to build their future.

Sue has had a varied career including working in education and public services, and as a freelance writer. She has survived redundancy (twice), and juggling family life with working 9 – 5 and running a business from home as a full time mum. 

Despite a changing career, Sue has always been passionate about helping people improve their life for the better. As well as qualifying as a coach she has also studied counselling and psychology. She is a member of the Association for Coaching and Oxfordshire Therapy and Self Development Centre.

Along with coaching clients and studying, Sue is a Gateway Volunteer with Citizen’s Advice and an Early Intervention Coach with TLG (Transforming Lives for Good) a charity that coaches and mentors children in primary schools, improving emotional literacy and self esteem.
